Man buys wolf on Craigslist
MINNESOTA (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - You can buy a lot of things on Craigslist, but what about a wolf?
A Minnesota man just picked one up off the classified site, but his mother-in-law was pretty upset when he brought it home.
She was worried about the safety of her grandchildren. The man says the listing read "arctic timber wolf needs a home ... wonderful with kids."
"Great, that's comforting," said neighbor Melissa Grover. "You don't know if it's going to bite your child, is it going to be a hazard, or is it going to completely want to protect your child and not allow you around your child?"
After the mother-in-law called police they took the wolf to the pound because it's illegal to keep wolves as pets in that county.
Now animal control officers are trying to find it a new home and hope they don't have to put it down because they say it is a friendly animal.
