Trial continues in teacher's murder
CENTREVILLE, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Testimony picks back up Tuesday in a Branch County murder trial.
Thomas Foley is on trial for murder. Prosecutors say he shot and killed his wife Dee Dee at their home back in February.
Last week a forensic pathologist testified that the gunshot that killed her was within a few inches of her face and he found no gunpowder residue on her hand, meaning someone else pulled the trigger and that it was not a suicide.
State troopers say they found evidence of a possible burglary at the Foley home. Jewelry and a Playstation console were missing.
Two of Thomas Foley's credit cards later turned up in Marshall.
The defense claims the shooter was a burglar.
We will have a crew in the courtroom Tuesday morning and will bring you updates throughout the day.
