Man crashes through barricade into earlier accident scene

NEAR SHERWOOD, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A Vicksburg man awaits charges for drunk driving after he crashed through a police barricade Tuesday night.

State police were investigating another crash on Mendon Road near Sherwood Township in Branch County when they say the driver drove through their accident scene.

They arrested him for driving under the influence.

The original crash happened when a semi-truck driver lost control and flipped his trailer, spilling corn all over the road.

He says a driver ran a stop sign at Mendon and Athens Roads and he had nowhere to go.

That driver never stopped after the accident.
