14-year-old drowns

ALLEGAN COUNTY, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A family in Allegan County is mourning the loss of their 14-year-old son who drowned over the weekend.
The incident took place Friday at a lake in Martin Township.
Police say 14-year-old Montreal Alonzo Jeffries disappeared while swimming with three other kids.
Witnesses say Jeffries started to have trouble swimming and went under the water.
Divers found him and transported him to Pip Hospital in Plainwell, where he was pronounced dead.
