Car hits Amish Buggy
Comments 0 | Recommend 0HOMER TOWNSHIP, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Sheriff's Deputies out of Calhoun County say two children are in critical condition after a car hit their Amish buggy.
The accident happened on P Drive South near 28 1/2 Mile Rd. around 3:50 pm on Monday, Oct. 13.
The buggy contained a mother, 33, and two children ages nine and three. Both of the children were airlifted to Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo, MI, with critical injuries. The mother sustained minor injuries.
The driver of the vehicle, a 24 year old Moscow, MI, man was arrested for Operating a Vehicle on a Suspended License and Operating Under the Influence of Heroin.
A 22 year old woman was also in the car. She was arrested on outstanding warrants. A 1 year old infant, also in the car, was turned over to a family member.
