Wes Callison is originally from St. Louis, MO. He has always been fascinated by weather and the outdoors. He graduated from Saint Louis University Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in Meteorology. 

Wes interned at KSDK and KTVI in St. Louis while in college. While there he also obtained an amateur radio license (call sign KC0NRL). 

His first on air job was in Lincoln, NE at KLKN-TV (ABC) where he started on weekends but moved to mornings after two months and remained the morning/midday meteoroligist for the rest of his time there. Wes experienced everything from tornadic thunderstorms to blizzards while forecasting in Lincoln. While at KLKN-TV he obtained the coveted CBM seal from the American Meteorological Society. 

Wes also received his seal of approval from the National Weather Association. 

He received an award from the Nebraska Associated press in 2007. 

Wes currently live in Portage with his girlfriend Lexie and his dog Luna.  He says that he is looking forward to the challenges that come with being surrounded by large bodies of water.
