Guilty plea in bean field murder case
CASS COUNTY, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - There are new developments in a West Michigan murder case.
Prosecutors say Sotero Perales pleaded guilty to accessory after the fact in the death of Miguel Calixto.
Police found Calixto's body in October in a Van Buren County field.
Prosecutors say Perales confessed to watching his brother, Lazaro, murder Calixto at a Cass County farm. He says he then helped load the body in a truck and dump it in the field.
Investigators are still trying to track down Lazaro Perales. He's facing an open murder charge.
If you know where he is call the Cass County Sheriff's Department.
