Facing 22 felonies for cemetery embezzlement
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - There are new charges in an embezzlement case involving a local cemetery.
Michigan's Attorney General accuses Robert Nelms of stealing from the dead.
The former owner of Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Grand Rapids now faces 22 felonies.
The state seized the cemetery last year when investigators found out Nelms invested more than $4 million in an offshore fund.
