No charges for man who stabbed another in the chest with a tire iron
WYOMING, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A man involved in a deadly Wyoming stabbing will not face charges.
News reports say a Kent County prosecutor ruled Filipe Dominguez-Rodriguez acted in self defense in April when he jabbed Bert Dingui in the chest with a tire iron.
Investigators say the victim approached Dominguez-Rodriguez first, hitting him several times with a wrench before he grabbed the tire iron.
Even though he's cleared in this case, Dominguez-Rodriguez still faces deportation to his home country of Mexico after pleading guilty to an unrelated identity theft charge.
