Clouds Moving In, Rain to Follow
An approaching cold front will push clouds into West Michigan's skies Tuesday. In fact, the sun will likely be in short supply from Tuesday through the end of the week. By Tuesday night, we might begin to see a few showers. Rain becomes likely along the slow-moving front Wednesday.
Precipitation forecast models indicate the rainfall will be between a quarter of an inch and a third of an inch. Behind the front, temps begin falling late Wednesday. The air trailing the front won't be too cold -- actually, it will be seasonable -- so I don't expect to see much snow. Most of the precipitation Wednesday night and Thursday will be rain. The coldest air arrives Friday, so we might see a little snow then, but it isn't expected to be substantial.
Looking ahead to next week, there doesn't seem to be a winter storm in the offing, so we might make it through the month of November without our first measurable snow. Stay tuned!
