10 injured in 2 car crash

OTTAWA COUNTY, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A two car crash in Ottawa County injured 10 people, two of whom are in critical condition.

 

It happened just before 8:00 Tuesday night on 120th Avenue near West Olive.

 

Deputies say a driver pulled out in front of another car, forcing it to swerve. That car rolled over, throwing several people from the car.

 

Evan Cozart, 21, of Pentwater is in serious condition. He was driving one of the vehicles. His passenger, Joseph Ragan of Whitehall was treated and released at the scene. The driver of the second vehicle, Fransisco Manuel of Aidan Park, Florida is in the hospital in critical condition. His passenger, Daniel Leon was flown to the hospital in critical condition. The identities of the other passengers have not yet been released by police.

 

Emergency crews cut some of the injuredd out of their vehicles.

 

Investigators say it appears alcohol played a role in the crash.
