Count day could be a snow day
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Grand Rapids Public Schools hopes Wednesday is not a snow day, because it's Winter Count Day.
Districts across the state will count their students to determine state funding.
It's the second Count Day. The first was held in September.
GRPS is using Facebook and other social networking sites to encourage staff and parents to make sure students are in class.
If school is canceled Wednesday the state will allow schools to recount. State leaders issued that memo Monday.
