Motorcyclist in Critical after Hitting a Deer

BARRY COUNTY, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A motorcyclist and his passenger are in the hospital after hitting a deer.

The Barry County Sheriff's Department says it happened 9p.m. Friday on Star School Road near River Road.

Police say a 55-year-old Hastings man was riding his 1997 Honda motorcycle when he collided with a deer. Both he and his 53-year-old female passenger, from Hastings, were taken to the hospital.

He's listed in critical condition and she's listed in stable condition.

The accident is still under investigation.
