Man suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder leads police on wild chase

VAN BUREN COUNTY, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) – A man suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder led police on a wild chase down I-94 on Thursday.

Police say the man from Illinois refused to pull over and stop after he was spotted driving recklessly down I-94 in Van Buren County.

Several police agencies were notified and became involved in the chase as the driver swerved in and out of lanes, tailgating cars on his way to the Indiana border.

The driver was eventually forced to stop, but then wouldn't get out of the car, so police broke his window and dragged him out.

The man was taken to Lakeland Hospital for psychiatric care.
