Elderly man hospitalized after crash

ADA, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - An elderly man is in the hospital after crashing into a building and flipping his vehicle.

 

The Kent County Sheriff's Department says it happened around 12:30a.m. Saturday.

 

Deputies say Frank Bader Renegar, 81, of Ada, was southeast on Pettis Avenue near Honey Creek when he drove off the road, hit a building and rolled his vehicle several times.

 

He was pinned in his vehicle and had to be pried out. Renegar taken to the hospital with critical injuries.

 

Deputies say he was wearing his seat belt and alcohol is not a factor in this crash.
