Two Masked Gunmen Rob Gas Station
PORTAGE, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Police are looking for two armed robbers who stole from the Admiral gas station.
Portage Police say it happened around 2a.m. Saturday on the 5000 S. Westnedge Avenue.
The store clerk says the two suspects, who were wearing masks, pulled out a black semi-automatic handgun and ordered the clerk to open the register and safe. The pair took off running with an unknown amount of cash.
A K-9 unit was called in to help track the suspects. The dog followed a scent to a nearby neighborhood where police believe they jumped in a vehicle and drove away.
The K-9 unit was able to locate one mask.
