Fire in Gobles

GOBLES, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) – A fire has broken out in downtown Gobles.

Officials say the fire broke out in the basement below Jan's Trailside Cafe around 7:50 Friday evening, and spread to the large apartment above the cafe.

Fire departments from Golbes, Paw Paw, and Bloomingdale have all responded to the scene.

An official tells Newschannel 3 that M-40 has been shutdown through downtown as well as some additional side streets that feed into M-4o. The roads will remain closed until approximately 11:00 pm.

There are no reports of injuries associated with the fire. The fire was out by 9:30.
