Investigators say spark started Grand Rapids house fire

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) – Investigators say it was an electrical spark that started a fire that sent a family running from their home in Grand Rapids.

Investigators say that spark from an electrical outlet started a living room curtain on fire at the home on Barnett Monday.

The flames quickly spread to furniture and the family's Christmas tree.

A couple and their two young children did escape from that fire, suffering only from minor smoke inhalation.
