GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A Michigan teenager is moving on up in Hollywood.

She'll watch her big screen debut in Grand Rapids Friday.

Lansing-native Ahney Her was just 16 when Clint Eastwood chose her to star alongside him in the film Gran Torino. She had never acted professionally. Now her film is generating Oscar buzz.

Friday night Her will watch Grand Torino at Celebration Cinema in Grand Rapids. It starts at 7:00.

Afterward she'll meet with fans.
