Jared is a graduate of Colorado State University with a Degree in Journalism and technical Communications with a focus in Broadcast News and a minor in Political Science. 

His first job was for ABC in Eastern Washington. Later he moved across country to Syracuse, NY for his second job at WSTM-NBC3.

After eight years away from home News Channel 3 has brought Jared back to his native West Michigan (Grand Haven). 

Jared loves all outdoor sports, specifically rock climbing, mountain biking, skiing and back packing.
