2 sex cases go before judges
KENT COUNTY, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A pair of Kent County sexual assault cases go before judges for sentencing Thursday.
A jury found Mark Ball guilty last month on three counts of criminal sexual conduct for raping a 13-year-old girl more than 10 years ago.
Prosecutors used new DNA evidence to link him to the crime.
They say Ball got into the victim's Kentwood home through an unlocked back door.
A Kent County woman who worked at a home for abused and neglected kids learns her sentence Thursday for having sex with one of them.
A 15 year old told police he had multiple sexual encounters with Amie Scott while he stayed at St. John's Home in Grand Rapids.
She pleaded guilty to second degree criminal sexual conduct.
