Two rescued from Kalamazoo River

KALAMAZOO COUNTY, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Deputies rescued two people Sunday after their canoe tipped over in the Kalamazoo River.

 

Emergency crews were called to the D Avenue Bridge Sunday on a report of two people in the water.

 

When deputies arrived, they found a man and a woman clinging to a tree in a strong river current.

 

Rescuers were able to pull both of them to safety, both of them were alright.
