Kalamazoo woman seriously injured in snowmobile accident

A 38-year-old Kalamazoo woman was seriously injured in a snowmobile accident around 9:30pm on Friday night at the 28,000 block of 58th Avenue in Antwerp Township. Van Buren County Deputies found Robyn O'Brien had just been taught how to operate a snowmobile.
She was stopped in he yard after receiving futher operational instructions and for an unknown reason she accelerated at a high rate of speed across the yard hitting a pole barn. She was transported to Bronson Hospital with serious injuries.
Alcohol does not appear to be a factor.
