Kate Tillotson
Award-winning journalist Kate Tillotson is anchor for Newschannel 3 weeknights at 5, 6 and 11 p.m. with co-anchor Andy Dominianni. She joined the station in July 2007 as a reporter and was promoted to weekday morning anchor in 2009.
Since her arrival in West Michigan Kate has helped launch a weekly "Doc Talk" segment, a partnership with Borgess Medical Center. In addition to her work at the station Kate is also involved with non-profit orgranization Komen for the Cure. She also contributed extensive live coverage of Newschannel 3's "Caring for Kids Telethon" providing Michigan's uninsured children with medical, dental and vision coverage.
Before joining the station Kate worked at WRDW-TV (CBS) in Augusta, Georgia and KCFW-TV (NBC) in Kalispell, Montana. While in Augusta Kate received two Georgia Associated Press awards for Best Feature Reporting and Best Investigative Reporting in 2007.
Kate began her broadcasting career as a college intern in Boston. She assisted reporters and assignment desk editors inside WBZ-TV (CBS) and New England Cable News. She graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Broadcast Journalism from Emerson College in Boston.
In her spare time Kate enjoys traveling, tennis and live music. She's a huge fan of coach Tom Izzo's Spartans, road trips to northern Michigan and the Lake Michigan shoreline.
A Northfield, Massachusetts native, Kate currently resides in the Gull Lake area.
