WHITE LAKE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - An early spring snowstorm has dumped almost 8 inches on some parts of Michigan and is blamed in at least four deaths.

Hillsdale County authorities say weather was a "major factor" in a Monday crash in Reading Township that killed 39-year-old Catherine Marie Harris of Reading and her two children, whose identities were not released.

The snow was also believed to be a factor in a crash in Eaton County's Benton Township that left 35-year-old Matthew Dupree of Mulliken dead and a 38-year-old Charlotte woman injured.

The National Weather Service says 7.8 inches had fallen by 2 p.m. at Oakland County's White Lake Township. Elba had 7 inches and Romulus 6.7 inches.

About 123,000 people lost power in the storm. About 65,000 were still without service Monday afternoon.
