Lions looking for answers after latest debacle
ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) - Detroit
Lions coach Jim Schwartz says he isn't sure what to make of his
team's latest loss.
Schwartz said Monday he couldn't decide if he should focus on
the positives of Detroit building a 17-0 first-quarter lead or the
negatives of Seattle's 32-3 run to finish the game.
Schwartz says Sunday's 32-20 loss came down to breakdowns on
offense, defense and special teams. Still, he acknowledges rookie
quarterback Matt Stafford's five interceptions were a major factor.
The coach did get some good news, as Louis Delmas' knee injury
turned out to only be a minor tweak, but Ernie Sims was on his way
back to the hospital Monday for more tests on his injured
hamstring.
Next Sunday, the Lions travel to face division leader Minnesota.
