Mich. police no longer looking for alleged biter
NORTON SHORES, Mich. (AP) - Police in southwestern Michigan no longer are looking for a man they initially believed had bitten a teenager's neck following a recent screening of the hit vampire film "The Twilight Saga: New Moon."
Norton Shores police on Wednesday told The Muskegon Chronicle that a 17-year-old girl who told them she was bitten Friday by an unknown man in the theater wasn't completely truthful.
Detective Lt. Timothy LaVigne says the teen now faces possible criminal charges.
Police talked with the girl and concluded that much of her story was exaggerated.
The case will be turned over to the Muskegon County prosecutor's office for review.
