Red Kettle campaign begins in Kalamazoo

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - With so many out of work right now many families are having trouble putting food on their tables and paying their heating bills.
The Salvation Army helps folks with those things and it's kicking off its Red Kettle drive in Kalamazoo Friday.
The campaign is starting a week earlier this year because the organization says the demand for assistance is so large.
Bell ringers in Grand Rapids already kicked off their campaign last week.
