Man shot in domestic dispute out of hospital and in jail
PAW PAW, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - We have an update on a story we were first to report.
A man who was shot in a family dispute has been released from a Kalamazoo hospital and has been arraigned in a Paw Paw courtroom.
41-year-old James Stevens faces four felony charges including assault with attempt to murder and home invasion.
Those charges stem from a fight on January 22nd near Marcellus.
Police say Stevens and his wife were in an argument and began struggling over a gun. At some point it went off and Stevens was shot.
His wife and teenage son ran from the home and went to a neighbor's house. They went to a hospital for evaluation but were later released.
Right now Stevens is in the Van Buren County Jail. He is being held on $1.5 million bond.
