Stowaway's body found on international flight

TOKYO (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - An international flight was the scene of a tragic discovery when engineers at Tokyo's airport discovered a body.

The flight took off from New York's JFK Airport.

Apparently it had a stowaway. When it landed in Tokyo there was a frozen body in the landing gear bay.

Police are trying to figure out who the man is.

The 12-hour flight reached an altitude of nearly 33,000 feet where temps dip to nearly 60-degrees below zero.

The man was wearing only jeans and a light long sleeved shirt.

Investigators are looking into how the man got past security.
