Eastbound I-94 was closed in Van Buren County at the M-51 exit, Exit 56, for four jack-knifed semis with a car stuck underneath one of them.
The Kalamazoo County dispatch says that there were at least 40 accidents since 7:00 Tuesday morning. Most of them were on I-94. Only minor injuries have been reported so far.
Dispatchers say that there seem to be fewer accident calls coming in now (at noon), but they are still getting some for slide-offs.
