Teams raise money for cancer research
SCHOOLCRAFT, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Two local basketball teams will hit the court Tuesday night and they are looking to score some money for cancer research.
Kalamazoo Christian is hosting a "Purple Game" with Schoolcraft where purple symbolizes cancer survivors.
This is also fitting since both schools already wear that color.
Fans are encouraged to wear purple to the game and there will be raffle tickets and T-shirts on sale to raise money for the cause.
The schools already raised $3,500 before they even tip off.
All the money goes to cancer research at the Van Andel Institute.
