Arrested for performing circumcisions without a license

KENT COUNTY, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) – A 56-year-old Sparta man has been arrested for performing circumcisions without a license.

Police say Thomas Alan Heugel was performing circumcisions on adult male subjects, as well as massages and body piercing.

Police say Heugel portrayed himself as a medical doctor to his patients and performed the procedures at his residence.

The Kent County Sheriff's Department believes may have performed the procedures on many victims. They ask that anyone with information regarding Heugel and his performing illegal medical procedures is asked to contact Det.
