Motorcycle and trike accidents in Newaygo Co.
NEWAYGO COUNTY, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) – There were two serious accidents in Newaygo County Wednesday, one involving a motorcycle and pick-up, the other between a trike and a car.
The first accident happened around 5:00 Wednesday night on Ramshorn Drive north of Fremont.
Troopers say Lorren Meyers' motorcycle crashed into an oncoming pickup.
Meyers died at the scene. The man driving the pickup was not hurt. State police are still investigating.
Medical helicopters rushed two people to the hospital after a car hit a trike motorcycle in the second accident.
The crash took place around 8:00 pm near the intersection of South Green Avenue and West 44th Street in Dayton Township.
Dispatchers tell us two people on the trike were seriously injured.
