Auto repair shop destroyed by fire
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) – A Grand Rapids auto repair shop is a total loss after it was gutted by fire Friday afternoon.
Crews were called out to the building in the 1600 block of College Avenue. A portion of the roof there had already collapsed when firefighters arrived, and they spent most of the afternoon putting out hot spots.
There were two people in the building when the fire started, but both got out safely.
Investigators do not yet know how the fire was started.
