IAC in Mendon plans temporary layoffs
MENDON, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - One of Chrysler's West Michigan connections is already feeling the effects of slow business in the auto world.
IAC in Mendon makes parts for the automakers.
Newschannel 3 learned on Thursday that it is planning temporary layoffs. The company says the move comes because of General Motors' 90 day shutdown.
Out of 500 employees, about 150 hourly and salaried workers will be affected.
