MICHIGAN (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - As the auto industry continues to struggle, more manufacturing jobs are disappearing.

A Union official says that American Axle will close its Detroit facility and move production to a plant in Mexico. That means several hundred Michigan jobs are gone.

That closure is expected to happen sometime over the summer.

There is an American Axle plant in Three Rivers. Newschannel 3 is working to find out if the latest move will affect anyone working there. As soon as we learn more, so will you.
