Grants to boost agriculture

MICHIGAN (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Michigan is in line for more than $18 million in conservation grants to help boost the state's agriculture industry.
The U.S. Secretary of Agriculture broke the news during a rural tour stop Monday in Charlotte.
Money will go toward food safety programs, water and waste systems, wildfire management and flood-plain easements, among other projects.
