Broncos Roll, West sets NCAA Record

YPSILANTI, Mich. (AP) - Tim Hiller threw for 275 yards and four

touchdowns Saturday as Western Michigan defeated Eastern Michigan

35-14 in Mid-American Conference play.

Brandon West ran 25 times for 140 yards and a score for Western

Michigan (5-6, 4-3).

Eastern Michigan (0-10, 0-6) scored first on Alex Gillett's

4-yard run, set up by Chris May's interception and return to the

Western Michigan 15. But Hiller came back with a pair of touchdown

passes to Matt Stevens and another to Chad Baliko as the Broncos

took a 28-7 lead late in the second quarter.

The Eagles, in their home finale, scored before the half on

Gillett's 12-yard pass to Kinsman Thomas, making it 28-14.

Hiller and Robert Arnheim put the game out of reach when they

connected on a 65-yard TD pass midway through the fourth quarter.

Gillett ran for 132 yards and threw for 186 for the Eagles.
