Funeral Monday for police chief

RICHLAND, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A West Michigan community comes together Monday to remember a local law enforcement official.
EMS workers found Barry Township Police Chief Mark Kik's body last week behind police headquarters in Delton. Investigators say he died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Kik served nearly 30 years as police chief.
His funeral is Monday at 1:00 at Richland Bible Church. That's on Gull Road in Richland.
Instead of flowers, Kik's family is asking people to make donations to a local animal shelter.
