SHERIDAN, Mich. (AP) - A Montcalm County resident has pleaded no contest to a count of second-degree home invasion after authorities say the man forced his way into a neighbor's home while naked.

Thirty-one-year-old Sheridan resident Matthew Thomas Ritter faces up to 15 years of prison when he's sentenced and faces a criminal sexual charge in the case.

Ritter told Circuit Court Judge Charles Miel on Thursday that he didn't recall doing it because he was under the influence of drugs.

A 44-year-old woman called 911 July 9 to report the break-in and barricaded herself in a bedroom. She said he pounded on the door and caused extensive damage to the home.
