H1N1 death in Muskegon Co.
MUSKEGON, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) – Public health officials say that a 43-year-old woman has died after getting the H1N1 virus.
"While for the most part, those who have been infected with the H1N1 flu virus this season have made full recoveries, this incident reminds us that influenza can be deadly," said Ken Draus, Health Officer for Public Health – Muskegon County. "We extend our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of the Muskegon County woman."
The woman was at the Mercy Health Partners Hackley Campus.
Officials say that the woman had chronic health conditions.
