Wildfire consumes about 20 acres in Newaygo Co.

NEWAYGO CO., Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Firefighters have contained a wildfire that spread to about 20 acres in Newaygo County.

 

The fire was first spotted around 3:30 p.m. on some land north of 56th Street and west of Pine Ave., northeast of the City of Newaygo. It is unknown how the fire started.

 

The Newaygo Sheriff's Department tells Newschannel 3 that there are no reports of injuries, and no homes or businesses were affected by the fire.
