Swapping becoming popular

(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Homeowners across America are struggling to get by in the sluggish economy.

Many are getting creative while trying to turn things around.

The CEO Craigslist says one of the newest trends on the web is house swapping. Not just for vacation, but for keeps.

"We've never seen that before. Namely, two people wanting to swap their houses permanently," said Craigslist CEO Jim Buckmaster.

Realtors are also changing their games to lure customers. One in California adopted a new program she calls "you buy ours if we buy yours."

Basically, if you're having trouble selling your home her builder will buy it, fix it up and then flip it for the market.
