Too old to work at AARP?

Comments 0 | Recommend 0

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A woman says the AARP won't give her a job because she's too old.

Now she's taking her case to federal court in Grand Rapids.

Bonita Brady, 63, started working for the elder advocacy group in 1996. She lost her job in the Lansing office in 2007 because of a re-organization.

Brady says the agency then passed over her for nine job openings despite her excellent job reviews.

She calls it age discrimination and wants more than $25,000 in damages.
