'Going to jail over a hamburger is not worth it'

OREGON (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A man in Oregon has learned the hard way that you don't use 911 to report your fast food complaints.

"I was at McDonald's, I payed 10 dollars and they gave me one burger and one fry," said the man in the 911 call.

"Sir, this is not a 911 emergency. You need to take that up with the manager," said the dispatcher.

That caller says he was upset over the bad service he received at McDonald's. He wanted police to come to the store, but when the dispatcher said no he just kept calling over and over.

"You cannot tell me I can't call 911. I will sue your office right now," said the man. "Oh my god, the lady at McDonald's has a gun pointed at my head, are you gonna send a cop?"

An officer did eventually show up at that McDonald's, but not to speak with workers there. He arrested the man who kept calling 911.

That man says he is still upset, but probably wouldn't do it again because he says going to jail over a hamburger is not worth it.
