Attacked in his own home

OTTAWA COUNTY, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) – Deputies want to find the men behind a violent home break-in that occurred in Zeeland.

Deputies say a man was working out in his yard on 96th Avenue Wednesday afternoon when he heard noises inside his house.

When he walked into his home, a man with a gun attacked him, then pushed him into a room where another man was rifling through his things.

The two thieves took the homeowner outside and locked him in a barn, then they looted his home and stole his van.

Deputies say they are looking for a red, 1990 Pontiac van with chrome trim. That van does not have a license plate or a right rear hubcap.

One of the suspects is described as a tall, thin, white man. The victim did not get a good look at the other suspect.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Ottawa County Sheriff's Department at 616-738-4687.
