Police searching for burglar in Ottawa County
OTTAWA COUNTY, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) – Police in Ottawa County are looking for a man who they say broke into several businesses.
On Sunday night, police responded to an alarm on 1st Avenue in Tallmadge Township. When they arrived, police saw a man putting stolen items into a vehicle.
That man fled on foot when he saw the police. A 43-year-old female from Kentwood was inside that vehicle, police say she tried to flee in the vehicle, but was blocked in and taken into custody.
Police attempted to track the man who ran, and say he illegally entered two residences in Walker City while he fled, one on Clinton and one on West Grand. That suspect remains at large.
The male suspect is described as a white male in his 30s, wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans, and a black hat.
The female suspect is being held on multiple counts of burglary. Her name will be released when she is arraigned.
