Pedestrian struck by car

BRANCH COUNTY, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - `Deputies in Branch County say that a pedestrian was struck by a car Tuesday evening.
Deputies say the incident took place on Lake Drive north of Miller Road in Ovid Township.
Deputies say that preliminary investigation indicates that a 16-year-old from Coldwater was driving south on Lake Drive when the vehicle drifted off the road and struck a 55-year-old female from Coldwater who was out walking her dogs.
The victim was transported to Bronson Hospital to be treated for her injuries.
Deputies say alcohol was not a factor in the incident, but that it does remain under investigation.
