Motorcycle accident on S. Westnedge

PORTAGE, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A 17-year-old girl from Portage struck a motorcyclist Wednesday.

Investigators say that Cassie Rowland of Portage had been motioned to proceed with her exit from the driveway and failed to notice a motorcycle traveling northbound.

The motorcyclist, 29-year-old Khamii Johnson of Kalamazoo, was thrown over the vehicle. His helmet was dislodged upon impact and Johnson suffered sever head injuries.

Johnson is in Bronson Hospital in critical condition.

Portage Police are continuing their investigation.
